Rev Thomas Roberts, Nant-y-Ffin

The Rev Thomas Roberts ministered at Nantyffin Chapel for 18 years, and died on April 10th 1855, aged only 44. He is commemorated with a memorial plaque inside the chapel, behind where the pulpit used to be, and is buried in the graveyard outside the chapel. We were unable to find his grave in the Summer of 2018 - potentially it is one of the half dozen or so which have fallen onto their faces, or it could have been one of those too far decayed to be read anymore. As a note, the article from the South Wales Voice newspaper quoted on the main page from 1933 gives his name as "Rev J Roberts" - we believe that this is most likely an error where a 'T' was read as a 'J'.

The Rev Thomas Roberts is remembered on the upper plaque (black lettering on white):-
